Pain
arises from either physical or mental illness. Ayurveda terms it as the Soola
Roga. Pain can happen in any region of the body; however it is mostly caused by
aggravation of a humor called Vatta. Sometimes, associations of other humors
with vatta in the body can lead to different types and intensities of pain.
As
per the principals of Ayurveda, the merging of five elements of the body in
pairs give rise to the basic three types of Doshas, or as stated above the humors.
These are specifically termed as vatta dosha, pitta dosha, and kapha dosha. All
of the body’s internal functions are balanced by these humors, i.e. any
imbalance can lead to ill health and pain. To relieve such pain, the ayurvedic
system provides medicines along with the best pain oil in India.
Vatta
is generally the humor responsible for the pain in body. Pain is a stimulation
used by the body to alert the person about any ill condition developing in the
body. It could either be somatic or psychotic, i.e. due to external injuries or
mental disturbances respectively.
Vatta
is the energy that is linked with the elements regarding air or vacuum in the
body, therefore, it is found to be in nerves, blood vessels, hollow organs;
basically in every channel of the body. Since vatta is involved for any kind of
movement or action happening in the body, hindrance to its flow results in
pain. Ayurvedic theory suggests that pain does not only happen with the
involvement of vatta but also if it is not involved, which means that a minimum
level and pace should always be maintained. An excessive flow or an obstructed flow
should be avoided to keep pain at bay or the use of best pain oil in India
might help.
For
treatment regarding pure vatta pain, it is advised to massage warm oil and
apply heat on the region of pain for 20 minutes. Vattashama, bala, ashwagandha
or mahanarayana oil mixed with sesame oil is generally used for the massages. A
little pressure is used to give an effective soft slow massage to relieve pain.
The
associative pain of vatta-pitta is treated by giving oil massage at the room
temperature. Rajat bhasma, olive oil, coconut oil, manjistha, bala and pittashama
oil are some of best pain oil in India used for
this, due to their anti-inflammatory and pitta reducing properties. Medium
pressure is applied to give vigorous massages followed by soft ones.
The
vatta-kapha type of pain is treated over a massage with hot oils, and applying
of heat up to 20 minutes. After this, a dry powder massage is also given using
herbs like ginger and calamus. The oils are usually a mixture of sesame with
mustard or olive and sesame. A vigorous massage is given the whole time.
